Ever since I was young, I have been fascinated by the art of storytelling. I was always the one who had to be torn away from her book to eat dinner, couldn’t miss the newest episode of my favorite show and loved the Super Bowl commercials as much as the game. I knew I had to translate these interests into my future career and knew I wanted to join the world of PR and marketing before I even began college.
I have an equal love of traveling and foreign culture. This love began with a Spanish exchange trip my junior year of high school. I was temporarily immersed in a Spanish household, learning from my host family about their lives and experiences. It created a hunger to understand foreign cultures, social trends and politics. My study abroad experience in Florence, Italy further solidified my interests and my decision to pursue global studies.
I am a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I earned my degrees from the School of Media and Journalism and the Curriculum in Global Studies. I have come out of the MEJO School with a broad knowledge of PR and branding campaigns, crisis communication, communication consulting, PR writing and research and marketing techniques. From the Global Studies Curriculum I have gained an extensive education in international politics, foreign cultures and history that shape evolving social and political trends across the world.
